A. Jeanez Miescke, age 72, of Mountain Home, Arkansas/Horicon, Wisconsin, died Friday, July 3, 2009 at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Murray Funeral Home in Horicon on Thursday, July 23, 2009 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home Thursday, beginning at 7:00 PM. Rev. Mark Hasty will officiate.
The former A. Jeanez Miescke was born on January 23, 1937 in Calvin Louisiana to the late Nathan F. and Lillian (Sullivan) Chandler. On June 28, 1956, she was united in marriage with Donald M. Miescke in Winnfield, Louisiana. Jeanez worked initially as a legal secretary for Attorney Hiram Wright in Louisiana, and then at Thiel, Allen & Storck in Mayville, Wisconsin. She worked at the Pyramid Supper Club in Beaver Dam for many years as a waitress, hostess, and bartender. In the mid 1970s, she went to Micro Design in Hartford and was an executive secretary there until her retirement. After retiring, she worked part-time at Rock River Hills in Horicon, until the couple moved to Arkansas in 1995. Through the years, Nez enjoyed many activities and creative pursuits, including golfing, snowmobiling, sewing and crafting, reading, playing cards, genealogy, and socializing with friends and family.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Miescke of Horicon, two daughters, Donnita Moore (fiancAC., Terry Hodgson) of Mayville, and Paulette (Norm) Horn of Beaver Dam, two sons, Russ (Jen) Miescke of Waupun, and Darrell (Kristine) Miescke of Horicon, nine grandchildren, Michelle Horn of Beaver Dam, Shaina Miescke of Beaver Dam, Cody Moore of Mayville, Dylan Miescke of Horicon, Nathan Miescke of Waupun, Samantha Miescke of Horicon, Brandon Mason of Waupun, Alyssa Thomas of Waupun, and Kyle Thomas of Waupun, a great grandson, Brayden Stiglitz, two sisters, Inez (Charles) Cagle of Panola, Texas and Theda Baker of Winnfield, Louisiana, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jeanez was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Jennifer Kay Miescke, a sister, Cortez Chandler, and a brother, Lonnie Chandler.
