Alan R. Voss, 81 years old, of Mayville, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Hope Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lomira.A memorial service for Alan will be held on Thursday, October 27th at Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville at 6:00 p.m. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 27th from 3:30 – 6:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Union Cemetery in Theresa on Friday, October 28th. Alan was born on July 6, 1935, the son of Roland and Norma (Kaepernick) Voss in Mayville, WI. He graduated from Mayville High School. Alan was the plant manager at Maysteel Corporation in Mayville. He served as an alderman for the City of Mayville.Alan was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mayville. He was a member of Wings Over Wisconsin in Mayville. He also helped sell Christmas trees for the Mayville Booster Club for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed playing bingo. Alan was a sun worshipper and enjoyed the outdoors. He especially loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.Alan is survived by: his children-Jeff Sr. (Michele) Voss, Greg (Diane) Voss, Jill (Ken) Christian, Julie (Dan) Spittel, and Chris (Lana) Voss; his former wife Georgiana Voss; his grandchildren- Ryan (Krystal), Jeff Jr. (Michelle), Elizabeth, Emily (Grant), Amber, Krystal, Misty, Josh, Kendall (Tom), Nicole (Ryan), Matt, Nick, and Shaina; his great grandchildren- Jaiden, Cole, Carter, and Nadia; his sisters- Geraldine Marten, Betty Lawver and Dolly Worden; his step-grandchildren- Ryan, Rachel, and Ethan; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Alan is preceded in death by: his parents, his grandson Chad Voss, his sister Joan, his brothers Earl and Norman, his brothers-in-law Dick Marten, Al Pacey, Les Twigg, Clarence Lawver, and Jim Worden.Memorials may be may be made to Dodge County Humane Society or the Mayville Food Pantry.The family would like to thank the staff at Hope Nursing Home and Agnesian Hospice for the wonderful care that they gave to our father.
