DeForest – Alan “Big Dog” Wiggins, age 48, died unexpectedly on Friday, March 6, 2009 at his home in DeForest.
Visitation for Alan will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ryan Funeral Home, 6924 Lake Road in DeForest. Funeral services will follow on Wednesday, beginning at 7:00 PM. John R. Leiting will be the celebrant.
Alan Royce Wiggins was born on June 1, 1960 in San Jose, California to Don and Roseline (French) Wiggins. In 1978, he moved to DeForest and graduated from Waunakee High School. He loved auto racing and was a loyal, and always optimistic, Brewers, Packers and Badgers fan. He also liked to watch wrestling on TV and rarely missed Monday Night RAW. Big Dog lived with his brother Steve and his sister-in-law Tina and he always went to watch them when they bowled and played softball. Big Dog found happiness in life”s simpler things and he never let typical life problems bother him or get him down.
Survivors include his father, Don Wiggins of Louisville, KY, his brother, Steve (Tina) Wiggins of DeForest, his sister, Cheryl Azevado of California, seven nieces and nephews, Robert, Annie, Amy, Steve Jr (Kara), Chris, Danielle and Riley, great nephew and niece, Cory and Sabrina, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and his nephew, Jeffrey.
