Remembering the golden-days we had is best. The endless summers of youth, the cool autumns, and winters bite, then the glory of spring. That's the contrasted beauty of this life.
My Mom always said about people passing is "they went ahead to prepare a better place for us ; like Jesus promised as he ascended to heaven."
I believe that's where you'll find Allen, in that other place prepared for him. No tears, no pain, just preparing that next place with family and friends. This world is only a shadow of what's to come, and the beauty of the next will be awesome beyond words.
It's sad now, and cuts. I'm sorry for how much it hurts.
