The Tribune will have additional coipes of that issue in Mayville you could also get it online (tctribune.net). They have the Trib posted online each week. It's available by online subscription, but am sure you could purchase access to that one issue similar to purchasing it over the counter. Then you could download it. I'd like to see it posted on the County's website, too as well as their meeting agendas, meeting minutes, etc. It just makes sense to have it posted where everyone would have easy access to it. An article on the budget was printed in the Banner this past Friday and according to this, the approved 7.8 million budget comes in higher than the year before of 7.4 million. A mill levy increase is expected to offset the deficit so our property taxes will most likely see another incline. I'll have to pull some previous years budgets to see how they compare in order to see the incline/decline trends reading just the one leaves a person with more questions than answers. And yep I agree on the alternative revenue sources a long shot at best. Something we certainly have no control over. Alaska has had a system in place for years now that takes care of their residents and property owners. Of course they also have oil resources that far outweigh ours, but one can't help but wonder when some of our wealth might be shared out. We have recently been receiving property tax credits that Hoeven enacted a couple years ago, but for how long, and is that really enough? But, you're right, this is all on a state level and will bounce through legislation in various degrees and forms for years.

Mom, I miss you so much, but I know that you are now at peace. It was a privilege to be your daughter, and to care for you as your time on earth came to an end. You taught me so much, and I will take those lessons learned, and try to be a better person. Thank you, Mom. I love you. Say hi to Dad for me. kay

To my dear friend Kay and family, Please accept my deepest sympathy during this sad time. Your mother was a very special lady...she had ''spunk'', as we like to say. I will miss hearing her voice as we talked to you on the phone everyday. I know she missed your dad and is now with him, let that be a comfort to you and your family. Love, Mary Lou
