Anthony “Tony” Balcerowski, Jr., age 78, died on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at UW Hospital in Madison.
The visitation will be at Murray Funeral Home in Horicon on Friday, July 29, 2011 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Military honors, provided by the Horicon American Legion, will follow at the funeral home on Friday at 4:00 PM. Cremation will follow.
Anthony Balcerowski, Jr. was born on May 6, 1932 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Anthony and Agnes (Gazdecki) Balcerowski. Tony proudly served his country during the Korean War before marrying his sweetheart, Marilyn Rossow, on November 1, 1952, in Milwaukee. He enjoyed working on cars, whether it was at home or at work. Tony worked for more than 20 years as a painter for American Motors in Milwaukee, then for Mayville Metal, retiring in 1998.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn of Horicon; children, Susan (Ron) O”Dell of Horicon, Toni Dessart (Ken Loew), Mark Balcerowski, and Gary (Wendy) Balcerowski, all of Mayville; grandchildren, Kenneth Kiesow, Kristopher (Carrie) Kiesow, Amanda Kiesow, Rachel O”Dell, Craig (Cerra) Tesch, Stacy Tesch (Eric Hafenstein), Jessica Balcerowski, Mark Balcerowski, and Dustin Balcerowski; great grandchildren, Kaitlin and Kevin, Brayden, Mason, Avery and Kendall; four sisters, one brother, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
