Arnold A. Welch, age 92, of Beaver Dam, died on Sunday, May 18, 2008, at the Golden Living Center.
The visitation for Arnold will be on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Grace Presbyterian Church in Beaver Dam, from 9:30 AM until the time of service. The Service we be on Wednesday at the church at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dr. Jack Harrison officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Arnold Arthur Welch was born on December 27, 1915, on the family farm, in the Town of Westford, to Arthur and Margaret (Snowden) Welch. On December 13, 1941, he was united in marriage with Mary Ollinger in Madison. To this union, three children were born. For a short time, Arnold worked at Monarch Range during WWII. In 1945, he took over the family farm and operated it until his retirement in 1980. Arnold was a lifetime member of Grace Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed playing Euchre with his friends and spending time with his family.
Arnold will never be forgotten by his wife, Mary of Beaver Dam, his two children, Kathleen (Terry) Mason, Beaver Dam, and Charles (Darlene) Welch, Beaver Dam, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Dorothy Monto, Sacramento, CA, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Thomas L. Welch, two brothers, Lester and Myron, and two sisters, Viola Matuseski, and Alice Spielman.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Arnold”s name to Grace Presbyterian Church.
