Bernice A. Hammer, age 89, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Clearview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Juneau.
Visitation for Bernice will be at the Murray Funeral Home, 131 E. Maple Ave in Beaver Dam, on Friday, July 26, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Friday at 12:00 Noon with Fr. Michael J. Erwin officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter”s Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Bernice was born on February 4, 1924 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Robert M. and Rose (Bebula) Hammer. She attended St. Peter”s parochial grade school and graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1942. Bernice was a resident of Clearview for many years.
Survivors include her sisters-in-law, Dorcas Hammer and Corrine Hammer, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; her infant brother, Carl; her sister, Grace (Frank) Haas; her brothers, Francis, Stanley (Ruth), and Robert; her niece, Joanne (Haas) Hatton; and her nephew, Lee Michael Hammer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St, Katharine Drexel Parish Center Fund.
