Bernice E. Heuer

July 23, 1929 - July 21, 2011

Bernice Heuer, age 81, of Juneau, died Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Clearview Long Term Health Center in Juneau.

Visitation for Bernice will be at the Murray Funeral Home in Horicon on Monday, July 25, 2011 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Monday at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at St. John”s Cemetery in Browns Corners.

Bernice was born in the Horicon area on July 23, 1929 to the late August and Hilda (Zimmerman) Heuer. She was an independent woman throughout her life and she worked at the West Bend Aluminum Company for 30 years. Bernice enjoyed sewing, word puzzles, and watching television and she loved children.

Survivors include her brother, Gordon (Joyce) Heuer of Horicon; three nephews and a niece, Robert Maertz of Beaver Dam, Patricia (Charles) Schultz of Juneau, Michael (Laura) Maertz of Juneau, and Mark (Anne) Heuer of Beaver Dam; numerous great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Jeanette Maertz; a brother, Harold Heuer; and a niece, Barbara Maertz.

If desired, memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 317 E. Walnut, Horicon, WI 53032.
