Vi and I were sorry to here of Bernice;s death. she was a very strong woman so it was a surprise. Bernice was always energetic. I had the pleasure of seeing her often at reunions, weddings and funerals. She loved being involved with family and she was so proud of each of her children and how successful each had become from from their humble beginnings. When my father Hubert Gilles, died I was surprised that each of my cousins, some of them which I never met before knew my dad. I am sure Bernice''s family feels the same way. Dear Grandma Fitz, My heart breaks at losing such an extremely special woman in my life! As a child you were my camping, polka dancing, rummage shopping, and always there to offer a hug Grandma. I have never met anyone so full of life! As an adult you were my friend who I enjoyed spending time with. Our phone chats and visits were some of my favorite times, and I will miss them dearly. It was always evident in our conversations that you touched many people''s lives from your updates on family and friends. I am SO proud to have called you my Grandma Fitz! I am thankful that God called you home as you always wanted it :)I would give anything to hear your take on Heaven as only you could describe it.
