Bertha A. “Birdie” Schoenwetter, age 55, of Columbus, died Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at the Columbus Community Hospital after a 16 year battle with cancer.
Private services will be held by the family at a later date.
Bertha Ada Schoenwetter was born on July 3, 1952 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to William and Alice (Leistico) Schoenwetter. She worked at Burgess Norton, formerly Advanced Products, in Beaver Dam for 20 years. Bertha enjoyed taking her mother to play bingo and going out to eat. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and playing with her beloved dog, Bandit.
Survivors include her children, Kelly Marie Radke of Beaver Dam and Jamie Alan Radke (Trisha Selk) of Columbus, her grandchildren Emily Ann Radke and Eric Lee Radke, both of Columbus, her mother, Alice Daniel of Lowell, three brothers, Albert (Marlene) Schoenwetter of Oak Grove, Allen (Judie) Schoenwetter of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, and Rodney (Phyllis) Schoenwetter of Lowell, a sister-in-law, Karen Schoenwetter of Juneau, a special friend, William Wiersma of Columbus and his children, Steve (Denise) Wiersma of Fond du Lac, Gary (Carol) Wiersma of Jefferson, and Laurie Wiersma of Waupun, nieces nephews other relatives and friends. Bertha was preceded in death by her father and her brother, Roger Schoenwetter.
