Betty J. Voss, 88 years old, of Horicon, WI passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Beaver Dam Community Hospital. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 10:30am, from Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Horicon, WI with the Rev. Sue Ellis Melrose officiating. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 5 till 7pm at St. Koepsell Murray Funeral Home, Horicon, WI, and also on Wednesday, February 1 from 9:30 till 10:30am at the church. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Horicon, WIBetty Jane Voss was born on February 26, 1928 to Henry and Mary (Carlin) Tiedt in Columbus, WI. She was a graduate of Columbus High School in 1946. Betty was united in marriage to Howard Voss on September 7, 1948 at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church in Columbus, WI. Together with her husband Howard they owned and operated Voss Marshland Shows, where Betty was the “Worlds Best Cotton Candy Maker”. Betty was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in Horicon, member of the Red Hat Society, Dodge County Homemakers, she enjoyed traveling, baking, going to casinos, but most of all family was first in her life.Betty is survived by: her children- David (Sharon) Voss of Horicon, Dennis (Mary Ann) Voss of Waukesha, Kathleen (Gary Schwartz) Voss-Schwartz of Sussex, James ( Bambi Butzlaff-Voss) Voss of Nashotah, Christine (Michael) Houghtaling of Milwaukee; her sister Laura (Russell) Hundley of Columbus; her grandchildren Andrew (Jamie) Voss, Lou Ann (Chad) Dochnahl, Nicholas Schwartz, Brianne (James) Pietrzak, Le’erin (Ernesto Bogarin) Voss and Chantal Voss; great grandchildren Gauge, Gabrielle and Jenna; other relatives and friends.Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Howard in 2000, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
