Betty J. Metzger, age 70, of Phoenix, AZ, formerly of Juneau, WI, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Kindred Hospital in Scottsdale, AZ.

Private services were held in Phoenix. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at St. Isadore Cemetery, in Clyman, Wisconsin with Fr. Selvin Garcia officiating.

The former Betty Jane Hundt was born on October 30, 1939 in Hartford, Wisconsin to John and Elsie (Meckelberg) Hundt. She was united in marriage with Merlin Metzger on November 16, 1957 in Juneau. She retired in January 2007 from Ru-Mar manufacturing in Mayville after many years.

Survivors include her son Mike (Karen), of Phoenix and granddaughter Erica Metzger, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Lila Stark, and husband of 51 years, Merlin, in 2009.

The family suggests that memorials be sent to 2522 E. Knudsen Dr., Phoenix, AZ, 85024, where a memorial fund will be established in her name.
