Betty J. Tallmann, age 76, of Juneau, died on Friday, October 7, 2011 at Clearview Nursing Home.
The visitation will be at St. John”s Lutheran Church, 400 S. Main St., in Juneau on Thursday, October 13, 2011 from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM. The funeral service will follow at the church on Thursday at 1:00 PM with Rev. Paul Schupmann officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.
The former Betty Jane Schmidt was born on November 5, 1934 in Colgate, Wisconsin to Richard and Margaret (Reiner) Schmidt. She was a 1952 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. On November 7, 1953 she was united in marriage with Ralph Tallmann at St. Stephen”s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Betty was a nurse”s aide all of her adult life, most years spent working in the Beaver Dam area. She was a member of St. John”s Lutheran Church in Juneau, where she was active in the Ladies Aid. Betty was very family oriented and enjoyed spending as much time possible with them. She had a love for the great outdoors and all animals. She will be missed by so many.
Survivors are her husband, Ralph of Juneau; sons, Allen (Debbie) of Beaver Dam, Russell (Pam) and Ralph Jr. (Amanda), both of Juneau; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Rita Schmidt of Randolph; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Linda and Sharon; and a brother, James Schmidt.
