Betty J. Krause, age 83, of Beaver Dam, died on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Hillside Manor.
The visitation will be at Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Monday, June 3, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. There will also be a visitation at Grace Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 from 10:00 AM until 10:50 AM. The funeral service will follow at the church on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Chris Davis officiating. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens in the Town of Trenton, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
The former Betty June Bauer was born on May 9, 1930 in Coloma, Wisconsin to Herman and Edna (Krinke) Bauer. After graduating from Beaver Dam High School in 1949, she was united in marriage with Carl Krause. Betty worked for many years at Weyenberg Shoe Factory on Madison Street in Beaver Dam and worked summers at Green Giant in Beaver Dam and Del Monte in Cambria. She was also a CNA at St. Joseph”s Hospital in Beaver Dam. Betty enjoyed gardening and was very proud of her flower gardens. She loved sharing her flowers with family and friends. She also enjoyed scuba diving and taking care of her cats and dogs. Betty had many friends in Wisconsin and spent winters in San Benito, Texas where she made many more friends. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are her two children, Ronda (David) Schuett of Juneau and Russel Krause (Phila Harders) of Columbus; six grandchildren, Jennifer (James) Dogs of Oakfield, Brian Schmitt (Susan Schellschmidt) of Willow, AK, Michelle Schmitt of Juneau, Amber Krause of Beaver Dam, Shawn Krause (Jessica Fite) of Beaver Dam, and Courtney Schuett of Juneau; two great grandchildren, Olivia Downey and Haily Dogs; cousin, Bonnie Bauer of Beaver Dam; two cats, Sully and Abby; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Richard Schmitt; a daughter-in-law, Linda Krause; and her former husband, Carl Krause.
