Bonnie J. Gassner, 81 years old, of Knowles, WI, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. No formal funeral service will be held. Inurnment will take place at St. Luke’s Ev. Lutheran Cemetery in Knowles, WI. Bonnie was born the daughter of Earl. W. and Evelyn (Musack) Schmidt on February 2, 1940 in Wisconsin. She was united in marriage to Charles Wetzel on May 27, 1961. He preceded her in death. On October 2, 1974 she was united in marriage to Roman Gassner. Bonnie was a member of St. Luke’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Knowles. She was employed by Gleason Reel Corp. of Mayville. Bonnie enjoyed quilting, needlepoint, and gardening. Bonnie is survived by her sisters and brothers – Betty Schultz of Juneau, Carol Muenchow of Juneau, Rose Ann (Floyd) Schraufnagel of LeRoy, Shirley Finke of Mayville, Sherry (Bill Kolitz) Ball of Fond du Lac, Kathleen (Marvin) Giese of Michigan, and Richard (Barb) Schmidt of Juneau, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She is preceded in death by her parents, her 1st husband Charles, her 2nd husband Roman, 3 brothers-in-law – Robert Schultz, Ron Finke, and Don Muenchow, 2 nephews- John and Jeff.
