Bruce was one of my 'older' cousins. (His brother, Doug was 4 yrs older than me) so I didn't know him as well but do remember him visiting our Grandpa who had lived with us. I'm his uncle, Winston's oldest daughter and grew up in Norway as well. My thoughts and prayers are with all of Bruce's family during this sad time. You are so fortunate to have had him with you for 87 years. Bruce's Dad and my Dad (who were brothers) and another brother all left us before their 50th birthdays. God Bless All of you! My prayers and sympathy are with your family at this sad time. Our loved ones do not live forever but the memories do and they will be in our hearts always. I never spent much time with Uncle Bruce but I do remember the fun I had at his and your mom's wedding. May time ease your loss. Love, Barb Wills Gray

Bruce is my father-in-law. He became more of a father to me than my own dad. I so enjoyed talking sports with Bruce. At 87 years young, he knew the Brewers batting averages and team statistics off the top of his head. Bruce was the VP of Finance for Dutchland Dairy stores that closed many years ago. Still he remembered every address and phone number of each of the 7 stores. He was a kind and gentle man who was able to enjoy some of the finer things in life with his wonderful wife Betty. Together they made a great team. I will miss our sports talks and solitaire challenges, but mostly will miss is friendship. My heart breaks for my wife Kathleen, her brother Bob and especially his daughter Barb who was his best friend, confidant, caretaker and lifeline since the passing of Betty in 2009. I know Bruce is in a better place and will be watching over us and I know we will feel his presence. He will be with Betty and his son Mark and Lord, be prepared because you are now going to know everything there is to know about the Brewers, Bucks, Packers, Badgers and how to find every Dutchland Dairy store.
