Burnett M. Berg, age 96, formerly of Beaver Dam, died on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Mayville Nursing and Rehab Center.
The visitation will be at St. Katharine Drexel Church on Monday, May 20, 2013 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the church on Monday at 11:00 AM with Fr. Mike Erwin officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter”s Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Burnett Margaret Berg was born on April 10, 1917 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to George H. and Bernadette M. (Blackbird) Berg. She attended the Beaver Dam school district and worked for many years as a caser at Weyenberg Shoe Factory. Burnett was very artistic. She enjoyed oil paintings, photography and many other crafts like leather tooling and cake decorating. Burnett was a long-time member of the former St. Peter”s Catholic Church in Beaver Dam.
Survivors are her sister-in-law, Myrtle Berg of Hartford; nieces, Donna Berg and Georgia Hesprich, both of Hartford; great nieces and nephews, Jamie (James) Tibbets of Sierra Vista, AZ, Stephanie (Ben) Funk, Ashley Hesprich, Jon Berg and Jeremy Berg, all of Hartford, seven great-great nieces and nephews; one great-great-great niece; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Merrill Berg; nephew, Tim Berg; and nephew-in-law, Steve Hesprich.
