Carl A. “Hobby” “Candy Man” “Crazy Carl” Dollar, 92, of Beaver Dam passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at his home. Carl was born the son of Albert and Lilly (Haase) Dollar on October 10, 1925 in Bells, TN. He was a graduate of Beaver Dam High School. Carl served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1943 until 1945 where he was stationed in Italy. He was employed with John Deere Horicon Works for 31 years until his retirement. Carl was a member and supporter of the Circus World Museum in Baraboo. He ran Dollar Kiddie Rides which traveled around the Beaver Dam area with different fair rides for children. He enjoyed country music, watching racing, and reading. He especially enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Carl was always willing to help others. Carl is survived by his sister, Frieda Tipton of Tucson, AZ; and is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Carrie Shreiner, Sylvia Bearder, Douglas Dollar, and Calvin Dollar.
