Carl “Dean” Wilderman, 80, of Mayville passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital.Dean was born on October 25, 1938 in Browns Corner, WI to Ralph and Adeline (Luehring) Wilderman. He was a 1957 graduate of Mayville High School. He was married to Elizabeth “Bette” Wirth on September 13, 1958 in Milwaukee. Dean was employed with Mayville Tool & Die until his retirement. Dean played minor league baseball with the Washington Senators. He was a member of the Rock River League Hall of Fame. Dean was an avid golfer and a member of the Mayville Golf Club. He enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Arizona. Dean especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Dean is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bette of Mayville; his children: Laurie (Rick) Kuntz of Juneau, Daniel (Jackie) Wilderman of Mayville, and David (Sheri) Wilderman of Mayville; two sisters: Kay Wilderman of Mayville and Jonell (Rick) Buslaff of Campbellsport; three grandchildren: Danielle (Eric) Burich, Stephanie Kuntz, and Zach Wilderman; two great-grandchildren: Sawyer and Bennett; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.A memorial gathering will be held at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 3:30 p.m. Deacon Willie Heideman will officiate.
