I had the honor of working with Carl at MMP. He taught me a lot. Mostly that it was OK to have fun while working hard. Even though I hadn''t seen him in a few years, I will miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Sandy

Carl and I were classmates in the Class of 1968. Late one summer Carl decided he and I needed to get in shape for fall sports. Carl played football and I ran cross-country. Goober decided we should run to Horicon. He had just started dating Sandy and I thought that would give us some added incentive to get there. Well, we took off from Patterson''s which was than on the edge to Mayville. We started out fine but we barely made it to the big hill, about half way between Horicon and Mayville. We walked, stumbled into Horicon hoping to find Sandy because we badly needed a ride back to Mayville as we were exhausted. But that was Carl, a lot of energy and always willing to try something different. I was honored to stand-up in Sandy and Carl''s wedding. I will never forget that. Sandy, you and your family have my sincerest condolences, thoughts and prayers.
