Carol A. Drzewoszewski, age 76, of Beaver Dam, died Monday, June 20, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Beaver Dam.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 127 W. Maple Avenue in Beaver Dam, on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Fr. Selvin Garcia Interiano will officiate. Burial will be at St. Michael”s Cemetery

Carol was born on February 10, 1935 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to Mathew and Lucille Drzewoszewski. She was baptized at St. Michael”s Catholic Church in Beaver Dam and attended Lincoln Elementary School. Carol and her family moved to Des Moines, Iowa in the 1950”s. After graduating from East Side High School in Des Moines in 1953, she worked at Yonkers Department Store. In the early 1960”s, they moved back to Beaver Dam where Carol attended Vocational Technical School and received a certification for nursing assistant. Carol worked briefly as a nursing assistant in Beaver Dam and also at Weyenberg Shoe Factory for several years.

Carol had a gift for detail; she was a meticulous record keeper. She could recall dates of birthdays, anniversaries, and deaths of all her close relatives. Carol was a loving and caring person who loved family gatherings and visits from family and friends.

Carol is survived by her sister, Patrisha Dean of Des Moines, IA; her nephew, Patrick (Sabine) Dean of Chandler, AZ; her aunts, Ele Bagniewski of Beaver Dam, Helen Beule Janczak of Palm Harbor, FL, and Shirley Janczak of Beaver Dam; several other relatives and friends. Carol was preceded in death by her parents.

Carol”s family would like to extend their gratitude to the nursing and support staff at Golden Living for the compassionate, loving care they gave to Carol while she was a resident there.

I remember visiting Aunt Carol and Grandma and Carol would always make sure the table was set nice and once made sure she had her "nice" house slippers on. Carol had one of the biggest smiles that would make everyone in the room feel welcome. Rest in Peace Aunt Carol, may God be with you. Patrick Dean
