Daniel O. Becker, 91 years old, of Iron Ridge, passed away at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc on Saturday, June 27, 2015.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 1st at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Woodland, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Daniel Babinec officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1st at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Woodland from 11:30 a.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service. Burial will take place at Juneau City Cemetery in Juneau, WI.Daniel Orville Becker was born on March 31, 1924 to Herbert and Elsie (Nehls) Becker in the township of Oak Grove. Together with his family he farmed in the Township of Hubbard.Daniel was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Woodland, where he served on the church council. He was the director of the Iron Ridge Coop. In his spare time Daniel enjoyed bowling. He also was known for providing a large Christmas tree to church for many years. Daniel was a steward of the earth – the land that he cared for and loved.Daniel is survived by his brothers and sisters- Ruby Gentz of Iron Ridge, Evangeline Gunka of Horicon, Joan Pusch of Rubicon, Calvin (Delores) Becker of Iron Ridge, Beverly (Dr. Steve) Mann of Manitowoc, and Jean (Walter) Chapman of Watertown; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Daniel is preceded in death by- his parents, his brothers Oliver, Herbert, and Curtis; his brothers-in-law Earl Gentz, John Gunka, and Wallace Pusch; and his sisters-in-law Joan Becker and Mary Becker.Memorials may be directed to St. John Church, Woodland Window Fund or the charity of one’s choice.
