Darrel B. “Dutch” Gritzmacher and Grace Gritzmacher
Darrel B. “Dutch” Gritzmacher, age 81, of Burnett, died Friday, February 14, 2014; his wife, Grace E. Gritzmacher, age 78, died Saturday, February 15, 2014, both at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
There will be no services.
Darrell was born on October 21, 1932 in Burnett, Wisconsin to the late Lester and Marvel (Knoll) Gritzmacher. On April 7, 1956, he was united in marriage with Grace E. Bischoff in Horicon, Wisconsin. Dutch retired from Hanefeld Brothers Trucking in Burnett after more than twenty years of service. He loved life, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved spending time with his grandkids.
Grace was born on September 22, 1935 in Iron Ridge to the late Ervin and Isabella (Weidig) Bischoff. She lived in Horicon and, after her marriage to Dutch, she moved to Burnett. Grace loved the outdoors and her dogs and cats. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and watching auto racing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family whom she loved dearly.
Dutch and Grace are survived by their daughter, Monica Borck of Burnett; two granddaughters, Debra Borck and Sabrina Bork, both of Beaver Dam; Grace”s brother and sister, Irving “Bud” (Elaine) Bischoff and Violet Spittel, both of Horicon; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. They were preceded in death by their parents; Dutch”s two brothers and his sister, Lester Jr. and David Gritzmacher, and Mony Klavekoske; Grace”s brother, Donald Bischoff; and Grace”s brother-in-law, Leslie Spittel.
