David H. Leisses

April 8, 1937 - March 21, 2012

David H. Leisses, age 74, of Beaver Dam, died on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

The memorial gathering will be at Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The memorial service will follow at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. John R. Leiting will be the celebrant. Inurnment will be at Highland Memory Gardens.

David Henry Leisses was born on April 8, 1937 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to the late Carl and Estelle (Horton) Leisses. He graduated from St. Peter”s Grade School and was a 1955 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. David also graduated from UW Eau Claire in 1959 with a major in Theater and a minor in History. He worked at various jobs throughout his life including K&L Services, Weyenberg Shoe Factory, and as a social worker. David”s knowledge and interests were very eclectic; he enjoyed genealogy, theater, coin collecting, and could speak knowledgably on a wide variety of subjects. He enjoyed traveling and would plan family vacations that were both educational and fun.

Survivors include his wife, Beth Ingalls-Leisses of Beaver Dam; four children, Kate (Tim Hartwig) Leisses of St. Paul, MN, Patricia (Brian) Hein of Green Bay, William (Alison) Leisses of Fond du Lac, and Mary Leisses of Lakeville, MN; eleven grandchildren; other relatives and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents.

If desired, memorials may be made in David H. Leisses” name to Hillside HomeCare/Hospice or to the American Cancer Society.
