David J. Hopf, 48, of Beaver Dam passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. David was born the son of Ralph E. and Lorraine E. (Kirchberg) Hopf on September 8, 1969 in Beaver Dam. He was married to Kay Rodger on May 9, 2009 at Harvest Ev. Free Church in Beaver Dam. David was employed as a supervisor for the paint line at Karavan Trailers in Fox Lake for over 23 years. David was a member of Crosswalk Community Church in Beaver Dam. He loved the outdoors, especially deer hunting, camping, hiking and golfing. David was a wonderful story teller with an excellent sense of humor. He was a man that captured the hearts of everyone he knew. David is survived by his wife, Kay of Beaver Dam; his parents: Ralph and Lorraine Hopf of Lowell; his siblings: Jeffrey (Tess) Hopf of Grafton, Gerald (Susan) Hopf of Boerne, TX, Susan (Tim) Ligon of Neosho, and Sheila (Fred) Setzer of Lowell; his step-children: Anthony Finkler of Beaver Dam, Shanna Rose of Helenville, WI, and Brandon Rose of Pardeeville; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Randy Schaub will officiate. Interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
