My heart goes out to the Bestor family. I have many fond memories of Davids great sense of humor and kindness towards me. He always made me feel welcomed in his home throughout my thirty year friendship with Mary Jane. I got to know all of the Bestor''s and will be forever grateful. Love you all.

My thoughts go out to you folks. I thought a lot of your David! I had the opportunity to work with him during his tenure in Fox Lake. As a matter of fact, I became David''s successor after he retired. He was such an outstanding man. He was quite humble, and never really discussed his personal life. I remember the passion he exerted as a regular part of his day - always with a smile on his face...and his wit at his side. Reading his life''s chronicle, it seems that he had an incredible journey; of which I am sure you are all very proud. He had the character of a statesman. I''d like to think the years he led myself and my associates on the Fox Lake Redevelopment Authority, he had a lasting effect on who I am today, and the way with which I conduct myself. I''m proud to have known him. Take care...and celebrate David''s life.

Yesterday I saw the Obituary for David Bestor in the Wisconsin State Journal. In I read that David graduated from Orion High School in 1949. I graduated in 1946. At the time I lived in Ophiem, Illinois, where my father was the pastor of the Grace Lutheran Church. I did not know David, but I want to extend my sympathies to the family of a former Orion High School graduate. Sincerely, Philemon Anderson
