Debra J. Cahoon, age 59, of Waterloo, died peacefully at her home surrounded by family and friends who loved her very much on Saturday, December 8, 2018. There will be a memorial gathering at the Reeseville Community Center on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 11:00 a.m to 12:50 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Lance A. Hoff officiating. Debra was born on December 2, 1959 in Milwaukee Wisconsin. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1978 and went on to earn her Bachelor in Accounting at Upper Iowa State University. Debra worked at Karma in Watertown for over 30 years and had worked at the Wisconsin Department of Revenue for the past nine years. She loved scrapbooking, going to the cabin in Adams-Friendship, four wheeling, and most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially her pride and joy, John “Third”. Debra also enjoyed shooting pool in a Watertown league and at Pumpkin Center on Sundays. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Richwood where she served as secretary of the Ladies Aid. Survivors include her two children, Melissa Cahoon (Corey) of Reeseville and James Cahoon of Waterloo; her step-daughter, Danelle (Robby) Routhier of Summersville, SC; three grandchildren, John Beverly III, Tiernan and Tristan Routhier; her mother, Marie Loeffler of Watertown; five brothers and sisters, Curtis (Lori) Loeffler of Hortonville, Brenda (Randy) Kuehl of Watertown, Chris (Steven) Stanke of Prospect Heights, IL, Roger (Jodi) Loeffler of Watertown, and Rhonda Loeffler of Madison; close friends, Serene Seufzer and Lucy Wuestenberg; eleven nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends. Debra was preceded in death by her father, Russell Loeffler and her former husband, Joel Cahoon. If desired, memorials may be made to Debra’s family and will be given to some of her favorite charities.
