Derrick A. Neverman, 52, of Beaver Dam was born into eternal life on Saturday, October 27, 2018. A visitation for Derrick will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018 from 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 N. Crystal Lake Road, Beaver Dam. A Celebration of Life will begin at 5:00 p.m. with John Leiting as Celebrant. Military Honors by the Beaver Dam American Legion Post #146 will follow the service. Out of respect, for the family’s conditions of asthma and allergies, please refrain from wearing perfumes and colognes. Derrick was born on January 7, 1966 the son of Duane and Darlene Joy (Eberhardt) Neverman in Glendale, WI. He was a 1984 graduate of Nicolet High School. He then joined the United States Air Force and served as a flight mechanic for four years. Returning from the service, he moved to Miramar, FL and was employed with Eastern Airlines at the Miami International Airport. He then returned to Glendale, WI and worked for Basler Flight Service in Oshkosh for several years. Derrick was currently employed as a Correctional Officer for the Dodge Correctional Institution for over 23 years. He was united in marriage to Michelle Lynn Hillebrand, who he called his whole world, on May 20, 2005 at Zion Lutheran Church in Horicon. Derrick loved spending time with his wife and friends at the lake cottage in Iron County, WI. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed going camping, jet skiing, four-wheeling, and boating in his pride and joy, a 1969 classic restored Glastron. In his spare time, he also enjoyed tinkering with his classic cars and various remodeling projects around the house. Derrick will be extremely missed by his wife Michelle G. Neverman of Beaver Dam; his two sisters, Darcy (Randy) Cashatt, of IA and Dawn (Andy) Weiss of Port Washington; his daughters, Sarah (Kaylin Darling) Decker of Madison, Cirisa Canillo of Mayville and her children Bailey, Alexandra, and Maxwell; his nephew Jake (Catherine) Bersch of Saukville; his mother-in-law Judy Gilmore (fiancée Ron Burke) AZ, his sister-in-law Rachel (Nathan) Gardner and their two boys Jovian and Roman also of AZ. He is additionally survived by his lifelong friends: Joe (Tammy) Peters of Janesville, Scott (Jen) Weidner of Beloit, John (Julie) Plank Milwaukee and Jamie (fiancée Heidi Heinz) Bryan of Dalton, his aunts, uncles, cousins, many other friends and co-workers. He will further be missed by his former wife Debra (Paul) Pogrant of Mayville. Derrick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Edith Neverman, Harold and Ruby Eberhardt, his parents Duane and Darlene, his father-in-law Michael Gilmore and two children Nathanael Hillebrand and Alfredo Diaz, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to DAV – Chapter 11, P.O.
