Deryl S. Schwantes, age 80, of Beaver Dam, died on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at St. Mary”s Hospital in Madison.
A private graveside service will take place this week at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Deryl Stanley Schwantes was born on December 11, 1930 in Horicon, Wisconsin to Harvey and Evelyn (Theiman) Schwantes. On May 15, 1993, he was united in marriage to Diana (Banes) LaReau in Beaver Dam. Deryl was the owner and operator of Schwantes Builders for over 40 years.
Survivors are his wife, Diana Schwantes of Beaver Dam, children, Philip (Cindy Smith) Schwantes of Beaver Dam, Steven (Debbie) Schwantes of Mason, OH, Mary Milsten of West Minster, CO, grandchildren, D.J., Ryan, and Kyle Schwantes and Jacob, Lucas and Trevor Milsten, step-grandchildren, Dustin and Zacharay Diesburg, Nick Wolfgang, Dayann, Justin and Jauque LaReau, step-children, Mark LaReau of Beaver Dam, Dawn (Mark) Klein of Beaver Dam, Lisa LaReau of Beaver Dam, RenAC. LaReau of Los Angeles, CA, sister, Joan (Mike) Hansen of Estes Park, CO, his dog, Bali, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Betty in 1980, and a grandson, Dylan.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Deryl Schwantes” name to the Dodge County Humane Society or to the American Heart Association.
