Diamond M. Avalos, age 22, of Beaver Dam, died Sunday, November 28, 2010 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Visitation for Diamond will be at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 511 S. Spring Street in Beaver Dam, on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at church on Wednesday, beginning at 6:30 PM. Fr. Michael J. Erwin will officiate. Burial will be in Texas.
Diamond Marie Avalos was born on February 12, 1988 in Del Rio, Texas to Manuel and Velma (Guerrero) Avalos. She graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 2006 and attended Moraine Park Technical College for two years. While at MPTC, she was a member-at-large of the Student Senate and was a member of both the DSG and WSG (District and Wisconsin Student Government). Diamond currently worked at Dodge Central Credit Union in Beaver Dam. She loved Tinker Bell and she had a passion for drawing and the arts. Diamond loved music, she loved dancing, she loved taking long rides, watching movies, and hanging out with friends and family. Diamond enjoyed feeding the geese in the spring and playing volleyball in the summer.
Survivors include her mother, Velma Avalos (Brad Olson) of Madison; her father, Manuel (Terry) Avalos of Odessa, TX; her sister, Dezarae Avalos of Madison; her grandmother, Gloria Guerrero of Beaver Dam; five aunts and uncles, Diane Guerrero of Beaver Dam, Elizabeth (Danny) Chavez of Del Rio, TX, Humberto (Jasmine) Guerrero of Beaver Dam, Jennifer (Israel) Sanchez of Beaver Dam, and Armando Rosas (Karina Santos) of Beaver Dam; many cousins, relatives and friends. Diamond was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Maximo and Dolores Avalos, and her uncle, Jose Alonso Guerrero.
