Francis L. Schmitz left a message on February 10, 2018:
I wish to offer my sincere condolences to the family at this sad time, but the memories of having a wonderful wife and mother will remain and comfort you in the days to come. My prayers are with you at this time, and we pray that Dolores will now rest in eternal peace with our Lord and Savior. I have some memories of the family when you lived in the house west of my parents' home in Johnsburg. That was some time ago, but my parents often spoke of those days when the young boys were part of that neighborhoon. ... again some pleasant memories ... A memorial Mass will be said for Dolores through arrangements I've made with my cousin, Bishop Paul Schmitz-Simon in Nicaragua. Bishop Paul and Dolores are second cousins -- the Simon family.
