Donald C. Deutsch, Sr., age 79, died Monday, May 10, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Beaver Dam
A memorial gathering for Donald will be held at First Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam on Saturday, May 15, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service will follow on at church on Saturday, beginning at 11:00 AM. Rev. Dr. Mark J. Molldrem will officiate. Inurnment will be at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun.
Donald C. Deutsch was born on October 25, 1930 in Waupun, Wisconsin to the late Edward and Ella (Thoenes) Deutsch. He served in the 2nd Armored Division of the US Army as a tank driver from 1948 to 1952. On November 14, 1952, he was united in marriage with Dorothy Capen at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waupun. She preceded him in death in 2003. Donald worked several jobs through the years including Weyenberg Shoe in Beaver Dam and Waupun, Dairyland in Juneau, Maysteel in Mayville, Monarch Range in Beaver Dam, and Chrysler Marine in Beaver Dam. He was mechanical and enjoyed repairing things, especially bicycles and TV”s. He had a little Yorkie dog named Skipper that he loved very much.
Survivors include his children, Donald (Janet) Deutsch, Jr. of Beaver Dam, and Dawn (Stephen) Krezinski of Beaver Dam; two grandchildren, Ann Deutsch and Ezra Deutsch; a great granddaughter, Aidan Peterson; a sister, Opal Kazulka of Waupun; a sister-in-law, Judith (Rev. Donald) Scott Steinberg of Reeseville, a brother-in-law, Robert (Betty) Capen of Markesan. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers, Arthur and Robert Deutsch; a sister, Doris Cupery; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Edith Capen; and a brother-in-law, Richard Weber.
