Donna Lovejoy, age 76, a life-long resident of Horicon, died Monday, May 28, 2012 at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc.
Visitation for Donna will be at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Horicon on Friday, June 1, 2012 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will follow at church on Friday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Tim Worgan officiating. Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery in Horicon.
The former Donna Jean Weichbrodt was born on January 24, 1936 in Horicon, Wisconsin to the late Earl and Emma (Wille) Weichbrodt. She attended elementary school in Horicon and graduated from Horicon High School in 1954. On May 16, 1959, Donna was united in marriage with Warren Lovejoy. Together they farmed for many years outside of Horicon. Donna was a floral designer and worked for many years in several floral shops in the area. She enjoyed gardening and had a huge garden. She loved to sew, knit, crochet, and do other crafts. She also enjoyed fishing, especially with her brother whom she fished with as a child and continued to do so on into adulthood. Donna was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Horicon for over 40 years; she was a youth group leader at church and a Girl Scout leader for several years.
Survivors include her husband, Warren Lovejoy of Horicon; two daughters, Lori (Richard) Marschke of Horicon and Peggy (Robert) Webster of Stow, MA; three grandchildren, John Marschke of Sioux City, IA, Elias and Abigail Webster, both of Stow, MA; her sister-in-law, Beverly Weichbrodt of Horicon; other relatives and friends. Donna was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Harlyn, Dennis and Robert Weichbrodt.
