Donna M. Qualmann, 79, of Beaver Dam passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Meriter Hospital in Madison with her loving family by her side.
A funeral service will be held at Noon on Friday, May 10, 2013 at the Koepsell Funeral Home, N7199 N. Crystal Lake Rd., Beaver Dam with the Rev. Dr. Mark J. Molldrem officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Beaver Dam and also on Friday from 11 a.m. until noon at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Donna Mae was born the daughter of Herman and Bernice (Jaeger) Scherger on March 16, 1934 in Hartford, WI. She was a graduate of Hartford High School. Donna was married to Glenn Qualmann on April 30, 1955 in Hartford. She began her working career with Northwestern Mutual Life in Milwaukee. Later, she was employed with Beaver Specialties and Richelieu Foods in Beaver Dam until her retirement in 1998.
Donna was a member of First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. She was a member of AARP and also Teamsters Local 126. Donna enjoyed watching cooking shows and collecting cookbooks. She also enjoyed walleye fishing on the Willow Flowage as well as doing plastic canvas. Donna especially loved spending time with and taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Donna is survived by her husband, Glenn of Beaver Dam; her daughters: Susan (Bud) Benter, Laurie (Dave Gilbertson) Schroeder and Nancy (Steve) Hermann all of Beaver Dam; her sisters: Shirley (Willard) Haslow of Mayville and Barbara (George Meyer) DuDec of Hartford; her brothers-in-law: Paul (Barb) Qualmann of Fond du Lac and Jim (Diane) Qualmann of Mayville; her grandchildren: Kristin, Christopher, April, Lindsey, Kelly, Ben, Jason and Kari; her great-grandchildren: Angelique, Isaac, Ayden, Alexander and Jaelynn; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Sandy, her father and mother-in-law: Paul and Hilda Qualmann, as well as aunts and uncles.
