Doris V. Luck, also known by many as “Auntie”, 89, of Beaver Dam passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 4, 2018. A visitation will take place Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Seth Dorn officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens in the Tn. of Trenton. Doris was born the daughter of John and Lydia (Klug) Schumacher on December 29, 1928 in Watertown, Wisconsin. She was a 1947 graduate of Watertown High School, and her first job was at the village blacksmith shop. On June 27, 1953 Doris was united in marriage with William Luck at St. John’s Church in Watertown. She then went on to work for the Weyenberg shoe factory for 37 years. Doris was a faithful member of St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. She enjoyed being outdoors doing yardwork, putting puzzles together, and going out to eat. She is survived by brother; LeRoy Schumacher, nieces and nephews; Jim Polensky, Lynn (Robert) Rebers, Laura Schumacher, Jamie (Rick) Hanson, Brett Schumacher, and her caregiver and niece Sharron Lehmann. She is further survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill in 1998, sister; Millie Polensky, nephews; Tom and Jerry Polensky. If desired, memorials may be directed to St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.
