Dorothy E. Krueger, age 86, formerly of Horicon, died Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Clearview Nursing Home in Juneau.
Visitation for Dorothy will be at the Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Friday, October 30, 2009 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Services will follow at the funeral home, beginning at 6:00 PM. Rev. Ray Field will officiate. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in the Town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
The former Dorothy Ella Oestreich was born on March 24, 1923 in Watertown, Wisconsin to the late Paul and Augusta (Yahn) Oestreich. On May 31, 1941, she was united in marriage with Frank Krueger in Horicon, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on March 23, 2002. Throughout her life, Dorothy was a dutiful housewife who was thoughtful and caring. She was a devoted mother who enjoyed baking and was proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dorothy lived in the Horicon area for many years and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Juneau. Dorothy was a resident at Clearview for the past ten years where she enjoyed the social activities, especially the Saturday morning Bingo. She was a breast cancer survivor and was eventually diagnosed cancer free. She will be sadly missed by her family.
Survivors include her four children, Joan (Earl) Little of Montana, Robert (Nancy) Krueger of Juneau, Larry Krueger of Fond du Lac, and Dawn (Steve) Kaiser of Beaver Dam; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, Robert Towne of Witchita, KS, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, seven sisters and two brothers.

The family would like to extend their heart-felt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Clearview for the love and care they gave to Dorothy over the past ten years.
