Dorothy P. Hargrave, of Juneau, died at home surrounded by family on December 20 after a brief illness. Dorothy was born in Milwaukee on July 19, 1936 to Ernest and Florence (nee Cater) Pagel. She attended Waukesha High School and graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1958 with a degree in physical therapy. She married Roy I. Hargrave on October 18, 1958. They lived on the Hargrave home farm in Waukesha until moving to Pleasant Grove Farm in Juneau in 1973. Dorothy was a dedicated physical therapist for more than 40 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and nana. Dorothy was the clerk of session at the First Presbyterian Church in Horicon for 30 years. She volunteered at the Horicon Blood mobile and Clearview Health Facility. Dorothy was a fantastic cook and baker, especially known for her pies. Dorothy is survived by her daughter Lynn, her husband Raymond Aumann and their sons Joseph, Andrew, and Jacob (Emily), her brother-in-law Edmund (Carole) Wiczynski of Tucson Arizona, her nieces and nephews Linda (Ed) Stimbra, Larry (Diana) Wiczynski, Luane Blackman and Lee Wiczynski, Roy’s sister Gladys Smith of Brookfield, and other relatives and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roy, her sister Diane, and Roy’s siblings Hazel Klug, Lucile Greenwaldt, Arthur Hargrave, and Jane Tolbert. Special thanks to the caregivers at UW-Health in Madison, Clearview Health Facilities, and Hillside hospital and hospice for caring for Dorothy. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 23 at the First Presbyterian Church in Horicon with visitation at 1 pm and the service at 2 pm with the Rev. Paul Hudson officiating. Private family inurnment will occur at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the First Presbyterian Church, Sacred Heart Food Pantry or Horicon EMS are appreciated.
