Dorreen L. Hermann, age 50, of Beaver Dam, died on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at St. Mary”s Hospital in Madison.

The funeral service will be at Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Saturday, November 7, 2009 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will follow at the funeral home on Saturday at 4:00 PM. John R. Leiting will be the Celebrant. Cremation will follow.

Dorreen Louise Hermann was born on March 17, 1959 to Henry and Jacqueline (Brown) Hermann. She worked for Weyenburg Shoe Manufacturing Co. in Beaver Dam for ten years and was employed at Richleau Foods for the past four years. Dorreen enjoyed her crafts and sitting around campfires with family and friends during the summer months.

She is survived by her children, Crystal Walsh (Dennis Pasbrig) of Horicon, and their daughter, Lily Ann Marie Pasbrig, Michael Malak, Jr., Nicole Malak, and Kyle Malak, all of Beaver Dam, mother, Jacqueline Hermann of Winona, MN, sisters, Debbie Fergeson of Lonsdale, MN, Laurie (Jim) Gerken of Zumbro Falls, MN, and Janette (Brian) Baures of Winona, MN, brothers, Lelsie (Stacey) Hermann of Stockton, MN and Daniel (Beth) Hermann, of Ellendale, MN, father of her children, Michael Malak of Beaver Dam, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father.

The News today was heart wrenching. The loss of my friend so deep.God has called her home.I thank-you Lord for the time you gave her to us.you will forever be missed. But never forgotten. I am thankful that our paths once crossed and a friendship was born. One day we shall meet again. May the good lord watch over your children and loved ones. Give them comfort and peace. I am thankful to have all the memories from childhood to adulthood of us.Thank-you.Rest in peace my friend.My sincere condolences.

Dorreen, I will cherish so many great memories of you forever! When I think back, it seems like I have known you forever. You were someone I could talk to, confide in, laugh with, and share secrets with. We could go a year without seeing each other, but when we did, we''d hug and pick up where we left off! I will miss you so much and I wish I would have been a better friend to you. I still have the Guardian Angel pin you gave me, I will keep it with me always with memories of you.

My dad called to tell me the news and I was very sad. Dorreen was a very very close friend all through high school and I too am so sorry that we lost touch. I am praying for her family and am sorry for your loss.

Words cannot describe the sadness of the news when I heard it today. It has been over 30 years since I''ve moved away from Winona, but you can never forget your childhood friend and next door neighbor. I am deeply saddened for the whole Hermann family, and especially for Doreen''s children. May they hold onto all the beautiful and loving memories of their mother forever. She was a great friend growing up, and I''m sure she was a loving and beautiful mother. May her memories live on through her children; and may each day be filled with strenght and courage as they find new ways to unite as a family once again. Doreen gave me strenght and support as I struggled with the loss of my mother as a child, and I pray that many angels will surround her children now too with the same love and compassion as she once shared with me. You will truly be missed as a mother, daughter, sister and more dearly as a friend. May His love and strenght embrass and protect your precious children as they walk through this most difficult time together.

My deepest sympathy for Doreen''s family. She was so kind to me in junior and senior high. Of all the people in the world I most regret losing touch with it would be Doreen. She had such a good heart and was such a great friend.

my thoughts and prayers are with you. dorreen was my best friend in high school. we were together all the time. we had some good laughs. dorreen had a laugh that would make you laugh even harder at her laugh. she was a good friend and i was sorry we lost touch. i always asked our classmates about her at the reunions. if any one had heard from her or if they knew if she coming to the reunion. i will never forget dorreen she was my best friend.
