Services: Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 30th at 4:00 p.m. at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Mark Wenzel officiating.

Visitation: A visitation will be held on Friday, May 30th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Durwood A. Lawrence, 79 years old, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at St. Mary Hospital in Madison.

Durwood was born the son of Avery L. and Esther (Hasenfuss) Lawrence on July 10, 1934 in Waupun, WI. He was united in marriage to Betty G. Jackson on December 4, 1955 in New Albany, MS. Durwood was employed at National Rivet in Waupun.

Durwood was a member of Peace Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. He enjoyed fishing and listening to Gospel music.

Durwood is survived by: his wife Betty of 58-1/2 years; his children -Rose Lawrence of Fond du Lac, Wanda (Robert) Lauer of Beaver Dam, and Steve Lawrence of Stanley, WI; his brother-in-law -Virgil Martinson; 2 sisters – Marilyn Radditz of Waupun and Marjorie Peachey of Waupun; 6 grandchildren -Christopher (Tammy) Garcia, Miguel (Melissa) Garcia, Stephanie (Matthew) Bedker, Kurt (Tracy) Van Loo, Eric Van Loo, and Katie (Christopher) Baumgart; 10 great grandchildren -Austin, Nolan, Isabel, Gabrielle, Isiah, Dakota, Saphyre, Keira, Karson and Sawyer; other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Annabelle Martinson.
