Edward B. Collien, 91, of Theresa, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 21, 2019 at Hope Health & Rehab Center in Lomira. Visitation for Ed will be held on Friday, January 25th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. noon at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Brown’s Corners (Horicon). A funeral service will follow at the church at noon with the Rev. Daniel Seehafer officiating. Burial will take place at St. John’s Cemetery in Brown’s Corners with military honors provided by the Mayville American Legion Post #69.Edward was born the son of Edwin and Erna (Meyer) Collien on March 11, 1927 in Mayville. On June 19, 1948 he was united in marriage with the love of his life Lucille Feller, and they were blessed to celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary together. Edward retired from Metalcraft of Mayville. Together with his wife Lucille they ran; Ed & Paul’s Bar and Jerry & Adeline’s Bar, both in Brown’s Corners. Ed was a veteran of the US Army serving in WWII, and was honored to participate in the Badger Honor Flight. He was also a member of the local V.F.W.He was a faithful member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Brown’s Corners, he served on the cemetery association, was a member of the Men’s Club, and played Dartball at church. Edward enjoyed gardening and he liked to go hunting and fishing. He was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed playing cards. He will be deeply missed by his wife; Lucille, children; Karen (Terry) Spannbauer of Lomira, Sheryl (Special Friend, Ralph) Kern of West Bend, Dale (Connie) Collien of LeRoy, Crystal (Dennis) Hechimovich of Horicon, sisters and brothers; Helen Beck of Lomira, Rose Wald of Horicon, Ray (Joann) Collien of LeRoy, Delores Neumeyer of Mayville, and Melvin Collien of Mayville, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.Ed was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Maxine Weyer, and his son-in-law Dave Kern.
