Edward E. O’Dell, Jr, age 64, of Horicon, went to go fishing with God on Sunday, February 18, 2018. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Edward was born on June 1, 1953, the first of six children born to Edward and Cora (nee: Dutzle) O’Dell. From a young age, Ed was a hard worker. This continued on through his adult life as he worked as a truck driver, a welder, and a production worker, eventually retiring from Metalcraft of Mayville SCAG. Ed was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was also an excellent vegetable gardener, even growing his own hops that he used to brew his homemade beer. Ed enjoyed cooking and would use his fresh vegetables, or maybe the produce he canned from the previous season. Survivors include his mother, Cora Wahl of Fort Atkinson; five sisters and brothers, Denise (Tom) Kletsch of Fort Atkinson, Carol (JR) Brunner) of Watertown, Alan O’Dell of Horicon, Douglas (LuAnn) O’Dell of Juneau, and Renee (Gary Carnes) O’Dell of Fort Atkinson; his good friend, Brian Stange of Horicon; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ed was preceded in death by his father.
