Edward N. Hahn, age 79, of Reeseville, died Friday, May 28, 2010 from injuries sustained in a traffic accident while getting his mail.
Visitation for Ed will be at the Reeseville Community Center, 406 N. Main Street, on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at church on Thursday from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on CTR “I” south of Reeseville on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 1:00 PM. Rev. Matthew Martin will officiate. Inurnment will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
Edward Nels Hahn was born on March 20, 1931 at home in the Town of Lowell, Dodge County, Wisconsin. He graduated from Reeseville High School with the Class of 1948. On October 9, 1954, he was united in marriage with Bonnie J. Clark at Trinity Lutheran Church. Ed farmed with his father on the family farm for many years. Later, he drove bus and worked as a security guard at River Bend Resort. In his retirement, Ed raised chickens and he enjoyed not only the eggs, but the chickens, too. He also liked to garden, read, cook, hunt, and drive his Kawasaki Mule around the farm with his wife Bonnie and their dog. Ed was a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served various positions on the church council and was superintendant of their Sunday School for over 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Hahn of Reeseville; four children, Randy Hahn of Reeseville, Ross Hahn of Wyocena, Sabrina (Robert) Bolen of Reeseville, and Reed (Christine) Hahn of Waterloo; eleven grandchildren, Dan, Melissa, Courtney, Ricky, Megan, Alicia, Adam, Brian, Zack, Anthony, and Derek; five great grandchildren, Chloey, Alexis, Joseph, Katelyn, and Landyn; two brothers, LeRoy “Bub” Hahn of Arizona and Harlan (Pat) Hahn of Hustisford; his sister, Violet Wilson of Reeseville; six sisters-in-law, Carol Clark of Reeseville, Alene (Lee) Reinhard of Colorado, Anna (Harold) Else of Arbor Vitae, Tessie (Chuck) Schaller of Arbor Vitae, Janice (Marvin) Borth of Mercer, and Sarah (Elmer) Graveen of Lac du Flambeau; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ed was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Rivard Hahn and Delvin Hahn.
