Eleanor I. Haslow, age 94, of Beaver Dam, died Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam
Visitation for Eleanor will be at the Murray Funeral Home on Saturday, November 29, 2008 from 10:00 AM to11:00 AM. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Saturday, beginning at 11:00 AM. Fr. Jose Gonzalez will officiate. Private entombment will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield.
The former Eleanor Isabel Vitczak was born on March 16, 1914 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to the late Michael and Caroline (Mutzewski) Vitczak. On May 27, 1944, she was united in marriage with Milo Haslow in Beaver Dam. Eleanor moved to Milwaukee in 1950 and worked as a machine operator at Johnson Controls for 26 years, retiring in 1978. In 1996, she moved back to Beaver Dam where she was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish and had been active with the St. Patrick”s Christian Women.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Harlan (Barbara) Abler of Milwaukee, Mary Jane Galinowski, of Milwaukee, Lillian Kemke of Milwaukee, and Leo Eisenbarth of Beaver Dam, other relatives and friends.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, Johanna (Joseph) Eisenbarth, her half brother, Walter (Jane) Galinowski, her half sister, Sophie (Harland) Abler, and her sister-in-law, Mary Molthen.
