Elizabeth Cundy, 95 years old, of Beaver Dam, and formerly of Mayville, entered her heavenly home on March 24, 2015 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam, WI.Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 28th at 2:00 p.m. at Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville, with Deacon Willis Heideman officiating. A visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Mayville. A luncheon will be served at the Pub in Mayville following the burial.Elizabeth was born on August 29, 1919 to Anton and Anna (Kohler) Hoffman. She was united in marriage to Gilbert M. Cundy in Neosho, WI in 1936.Elizabeth was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam. She was employed at Purity Cheese Co. in Mayville for many years. She also worked for Lila’s Custom Drapery in Mayville, sewing and hanging drapes. She loved to sew, crochet, and also did many kinds of crafts. In her younger years she enjoyed fishing and took many fishing trips to North Dakota. Elizabeth also loved to watch the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badger football & basketball and the Milwaukee Brewers. She also loved to play bingo and go to the casinos.After her husband retired, they moved to the woods in Oxford, WI. They lived there for many years. During the winter months they traveled to McAllen, TX as winter Texans for a number of years. Failing health eventually brought them back to Beaver Dam. Elizabeth lived at Stone Terrace for eight years; and for the past year she has lived with her daughter Betty Ann in Beaver Dam.Elizabeth is survived by her 3 children- Gilbert A. (Ruth) Cundy of Wild Rose, Lynn H. Cundy of Mayville and Betty Ann Cundy of Beaver Dam; 8 grandchildren- Robert Cundy of Nevada, Mike (Ann) Cundy of Horicon, Steven (Amber) Cundy of Horicon, Cathy (Jay) Cerney of Horicon, Dori (Terry) Cundy-Klapper of Beaver Dam, Greg Cundy of Horicon, Londa (Gary) Hanefeld of Beaver Dam, and Tony Nitschke of Beaver Dam; many step-grandchildren; also great-grandchildren; and 3 very special great-great grandchildren- Collin Baney, Taylor Weekes, and Maddy Hupf; sisters-in-law Gertrude (Toots) Cundy and Joyce Hoffman; many nieces & nephews, other relatives and friends.Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert M. Cundy in 2005, her daughter-in-law Judy Cundy in 2011, and 2 brothers Tony Hoffman in WWII & Francis Hoffman.
