Elizabeth L. Adelmeyer, 82, of Knowles passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Grancare Nursing and Rehab. in Fond du Lac.Elizabeth was born the daughter of Anthony and Alice Stommel on February 3, 1936 in the township of Hubbard, Dodge County. She was married to Leslie F. Adelmeyer on October 9, 1951 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville. She was employed with Regal Ware in Kewaskum from 1972 until 1998. Betty was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in LeRoy. She enjoyed playing bingo and taking casino trips. Betty, along with her husband, Les were able to travel to all 50 states as well as Canada and Europe. They also enjoyed spending time at their cabin in Florence County. Betty is survived by her eight children: Daniel Adelmeyer of Knowles, twins: David (Karen) Adelmeyer of Manitowoc and Dennis (Loren) Adelmeyer of Eden, Darlene Adelmeyer of Knowles, twins: Michael (Karla) Adelmeyer of Great Falls, MT and Mary Jo (Pat) Grady of Hartford, Karen Leal of Fond du Lac, and Thomas (Julie) Adelmeyer of Fond du Lac; her mother, Alice Stommel of Lomira; her siblings: Robert (Adeline) Stommel of Mayville, Richard (Ruby) Stommel of West Bend, Patricia (Dieter) Gust of Fond du Lac, and Ronald Stommel of Lomira; her brother-in-law, Arnold Schultz of Knowles; sister-in-law, Joyce Stommel of Mayville; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father; her husband, Les in 2013; daughter, Debra Petri; grandson, Scott Adelmeyer; brother, Donald Stommel; sister-in-law, Ardis Schultz.A memorial gathering will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church in LeRoy on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack officiating. Entombment will take place at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Fond du Lac. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Andrew Catholic Church in LeRoy.
