Dear Ellen, So sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you. When I heard the news I remembered how nice your Mother always was and good cookies. We must of had cookies when I came over to your house when we were kids. With Sympathy, Edward Bellon, Bradenton, Florida

Ellen, Your mom was a woman to be admired in many ways and the words that you said about her reflect so much more than I knew. I regret that I only knew her at the end of her life. But what I saw was a woman who was always smartly dressed, was beautiful inside and out, and displayed a happy spirit towards life in spite of the health issues she had to face. The love between the two of you was amazing and it was there for all to see--that made an impact on me and many others. You and Chris handled life's most difficult challenge together--facing the end. And you did it with love, dedication and grace. God blessed both of you in this final month by allowing you to share and bond and remind each other of all the good you had shared. I will always admire your devotion and love for your mother.

The first memory of my Aunt 'Virginia’ as I knew her, was on vacation with my mother, her sister Evelyn, my brother Steve and I to Horicon when I was 7 or 8 years old. The memory of her and the house in town was one of my favorite memories growing up. I have missed her these last few years and our weekly phone calls. We traveled together to Germany where Steve took us to Denmark to see where her grandparents were buried and that was so special for her. We laughed so much on that trip. But my last memories were of the trip to Alaska. I really loved that time with her. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched. We are all are blessed to have had her in our lives.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I am very sorry for the loss of Ma Gardner. I was a friend of her son John. She opened her heart to me, and was another Mom. John and I were roommates in college, and Sunday afternoon was normal for her to call. Many times I would answer the phone, and she would talk with me for some time. She asked how I was doing and how my family was doing. She will be missed by many.
