DANVILLE/COLUMBUS-Erna A. Kranz (nee Wille), 94 years, a loving mother, left this earth on January 4, 2010 to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. (noon) on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Reeseville with Rev. Matthew Martin officiating. A visitation will also be held on Saturday, January 9th from 10 a.m. until 12 (noon) at the church. Interment will take place at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Reeseville, WI.
Erna was born the daughter of Charles and Hedwig (Braatz) Wille on September 23, 1915 in the township of Elba, Dodge County. She was married to John Alfred Kranz on September 21, 1935 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Reeseville. Erna, together with her husband successfully farmed for nearly 40 years.
Erna was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Reeseville. She was a 4-H Club leader for many years. Erna loved gardening and horticulture, and had a great love for animals.
Erna is survived by her children: Roger Kranz of Columbus, Carole (Jim) Tuschen of Lodi, and Dale (Joey) Kranz of Columbus; her sister Elda Leisemann of Beaver Dam; her 12 grandchildren: Jeffrey, Sherri, Russell, Charlotte, Sharlene, Andrew, Theresa, Douglas, Kris, Vince, Valerie, and Chelsea; 18 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John in 1991, two brothers: Lester and Arnold, and two grandsons: Mark and Tim.
