Esther Alice Kushava, age 94, of Horicon, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014 at Matthew”s of Horicon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, May 1st at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Horicon with Rev. Fr. Michael Petrie presiding. Entombment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 2nd in Mequon. A visitation will take place on Thursday, May 1st from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11 a.m. at the church in Horicon.
Esther was born January 25, 1920 to Joseph and Frances (Kunda) Stachowiak in Lena, WI. She was united in marriage to Paul J. Kushava on June 19, 1937 in Lena, WI. She was retired from Briggs and Stratton.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Horicon. In her spare time, Esther enjoyed cooking, baking, and going out for dinner with her family and friends. She also liked playing cards and trips to the casino. Most importantly, Esther loved the time spent with her family and friends and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Esther is survived by her son Paul (Judy) Kushava of Black River Falls. Her daughter- Patricia (Richard) Luckert of Horicon. Her grandchildren- Kirk Kushava, Kristin (Gene) Coffield, Craig Kushava, Shannon Luckert, and David (Julie) Luckert. Great Grandchildren- Lauren Coffield, Olivia Coffield, and Paul Luckert. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul, and four brothers and three sisters.
