Ethel G. Hechimovich, 77, of Mayville passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at UW Hospital in Madison.Ethel was born the daughter of Henry and Grace (Paquette) Chamberlain on June 27, 1940 in Lowell, MA. She was married to Nick R. Hechimovich in September of 2001 at Sons of Zebedee Catholic Church in Oakfield. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Theresa. Ethel was an animal lover especially of horses and dogs. She was a true lover of nature. Ethel is survived by her husband, Nick of Mayville; her sons: Joseph Barbieri of Germantown and Eric (Rebecca) Barbieri of Lannon; her step-children: Jim (Lisa Christian) Hechimovich of the township of Williamstown and Trish (Steve Tighe) Hechimovich of Las Vegas; four grandchildren: Ashlyn, Alyssa, Jayden, and Jerod; a step-granddaughter, Trinity; as well as other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Todd Barbieri. A visitation will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 9 a.m. until Noon with a Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow at the church. Fr. Tom Biersack will preside. Interment will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Mayville.Memorials may be directed to St. Theresa, St. Mary, or St. Andrew Catholic Churches.
